President - Theo WhitlockHi, I’m Theo, a second year vet student and the President of LSAVS this year! I’m very proud and excited to be President of this wonderful society and can’t wait to deliver lots of amazing talks and events for our members this year.
Throughout my life I’ve had the pleasure of looking after various species of pets- cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, and even a snake- so I am very passionate about small animal (and exotic) medicine. E-mail - hltkirk@liverpool.ac.uk |
Vice president - Max MarsdenHi I’m Max! I’m currently intercalating in Marine Biology between my 3rd and 4th years and I’m Vice President of LSAVS, as well as a devoted lover of cats that don’t like to be photographed.
I’ve loved the LSAVS events since first year, and I joined the committee this year to make sure I get to stay involved with the amazing talks and other students, even in my non-vet year! |
Secretary - Alice ColemanHi! I’m Alice, the secretary for LSAVS. I’m in my third year, and I am loving (almost) every minute of vet school!
I’m a first language Welsh speaker and grew up in North Wales- Liverpool has always been in my life, as we’ve taken a few of our animals to Leahurst in the past. For this reason, Liverpool was always my first choice (and I got lucky!). I joined LSAVS in my first year, and over the last 2 years I have learnt so much just by attending a few talks. It has guided me towards my specific interests in veterinary, and for this reason I wanted to be a part of the committee to have an input on this year’s content, and of course broaden my own skillset! I can’t wait to help organise the talks for this year and show the freshers what vet school is all about! Leahurst Rep - Lydia BradleyHi, I’m Lydia, I’m a fourth year and I’m the LSAVS Leahurst Rep this year, having been President last year. I love all areas of small animal veterinary medicine, but I’m particularly interested in the management of chronic pain and soft tissue surgery

Treasurer - Simon ThomasHi! I’m Simon- the Treasurer for LSAVS 2022/23. I’m currently in my 2nd year having joined through the foundation pathway (Year 0).
I grew up in South Wales with a number of guinea pigs, rabbits and hamsters as pets- which is where my love of smallies began. Now I have a rescue tabby cat called Raymond who invariably is demanding attention any time we have an online class. I’m really looking forward to continuing the great work LSAVS has done, and helping things to run as smoothly as possible! |
