UoL Vets Squash is LUVS’ newest club and we’re already making quite a name for ourselves within in the Vet School! We welcome anyone from experienced squash players to complete newbies as our sessions are filled with fun training games and chances to play matches in a relaxed and supportive environment. The squash society is one big family and it’s a great way to have a mid-week destress.
One of the events we run throughout the year includes our Staff VS Students Match Day which is a great chance to get to know your lecturers (and watch them fall over!) as well as raise money for our charities. Last year we won the trophy by a decider point so it’s still all to play for.
We plan to organise various squash and socials with the Uni, Medics and Dentists squash teams. We want branch out and give the team a chance to meet lots of people outside of their course and have some good nights out with other societies!
Outside of our normal training sessions, vets squash runs regular socials throughout the year which range from classy Christmas parties, laid back drinks after sessions and of course some very messy AU nights! We’re always looking for more fun and exciting new ways to bring the team together.
